Panners Fail To Win In Second Round Of The Qualifying Cup


Preston travelled to the borders to face a team they have played many times before when they were in the lowland league.They faced Vale of Leithen in the Football Nation Qualifying Cup 2nd Round At Victoria Park

The second half was only a minute old when Vale Of Leithen.Sean Stewart got their second after lobbing the ball over Craig Pennycuick to the dismay of travelling fans and management.Preston did try to get a goal back and Jonny Grotlin was through on goal and looked to brought down in the box,but referee Addy booked him for diving,Preston did have chances from Michael McFarlane & Jack Gilchrist,but the home side finishes the game off on 88 minutes.Theey were awrded a penalty when Pennycuick brought down Jock Hay and Jordan Finnie coverted it to end the scoring and a bad day at the office for the panners
