Kelty fire four again to plough through Preston

Kelty Hearts 4-0 Preston Athletic

In very cold conditions,Kelty faced Preston for the second time in two weeks on league duty but this was at New Central Park, Kelty.

Two weeks ago Kelty visited Prestonpans for the first time in the East of Scotland League and came away with a 4-1 win and more importantly 3 points. Due to the rescheduling of the first fixture, both teams faced each other with the visitors looking for some revenge after the last match.

The first half was quite even but Preston edged it with great opportunities falling with striker Greg Binnie coming the closest to opening the scoring On 40 minutes however the hosts went in front.

A great run down the wing from Elliot Ford was finished by Scott Dalziel who added to his impressive scoring form this season so far.

The hosts doubled their advantage at half-time when Stuart Cargill found the net after Scott Dalziel had hit the post.

The second half was dominated by the hosts who went on to fire home a couple of goals in quick succession to kill the game off. The 3rd of the game came on 50 minutes when Ross Phiip finished off a cross by Dalziel.

On 52 minutes Stuart Cargill made it 4-0 and got his second of the match to finish of the scoring.Preston did try to get a consolation but  it looked more like the visitors who wanted to score.

Next up for Preston will be the visit of reigning EOSFL Champions, Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale to the Pennypit on December 9th.
